Even luxury homes can be poorly designed.  This client lived with her home for over 20 years before deciding the kitchen simply had to go. We worked together to create a style that was both upscale and livable.  She focused on materials she loved, like the extra thick walnut tops, the iridescent, stained glass backsplash tile, and the crystal knobs in her bar area.  Removing the existing wall between the kitchen and breakfast room created a totally open flow that provides both light and space to a once choppy layout.  An over-sized island offers extra seating and also acts as a divider between two workstations, both with sinks, dishwashers and a refrigerator. Design patterns are repeated, such as the glass pendants sharing the bubble glass of the doors, and the desk and island having walnut tops. The client wanted a livable space that incorporated upscale materials but didn't feel stuffy. The final result is a grand kitchen that flows readily into all the adjoining spaces and feels as if it should have been there from the beginning.

"I finally have my dream kitchen"

“Renovations, especially kitchens, are difficult at best.

Working with you has been a joy, and your vision for the space is apparent in all the minor touches.

I love coming downstairs to see the open space, and cooking in it is such a pleasure - especially for parties!

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your hard work - and the occasional shoulder to cry on.

No matter the struggles, this is all worth it and I would do it with you again in a heartbeat!”
